Aging

Patience in a corner — in practice, patience

False friendship always — in crisis, absence

Love in a lonely night — mourning, in the silence

Sadness for the loveless — like a legal sentence

When sinless canary — caged in its cadence

Rivers, as the tears — cry, for the riddance

Heavy ears, as well — sight, in dim distance

Aging thus shakily — changing any balance
